Fernandes, who has excelled at United since his arrival from Sporting Lisbon in January 2020, emerged as a standout performer during Erik ten Hag's challenging second season at Old Trafford, boasting an impressive tally of 15 goals and nine assists across all competitions.
Despite previously affirming his commitment to Manchester United following positive discussions with new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Bruno Fernandes disclosed in an interview with DAZN Portugal his decision to defer any determinations about his future until after the Euros in Germany this summer.
Fernandes acknowledged that his future at the club hinges not only on his desires but also on mutual agreement between himself and the club. Presently, he perceives a mutual desire for him to continue at Manchester United.
The midfielder emphasized that he is currently not overly preoccupied with his future, expressing disappointment with both his individual performance and the team's collective performance in the current season.
Consequently, Fernandes asserted that he will defer considerations about leaving the Premier League until after the Euros, focusing his attention on the upcoming FA Cup final and the Euros, which hold paramount significance for him.
Fernandes' statements come amidst reports suggesting that, apart from Kobbie Mainoo, Rasmus Hojlund, and Alejandro Garnacho, no player is deemed safe at Manchester United.
It is speculated that Ratcliffe and INEOS are seeking to overhaul the squad and generate funds for new signings in the forthcoming summer transfer window.
