A recent survey reveals that Liverpool Football Club supporters have a clear preference for club legend Steven Gerrard to succeed Jurgen Klopp as coach, over contenders Zinedine Zidane and Ruben Amorim.
With Klopp set to depart at the end of the current season, the club has been actively seeking his replacement. Among the speculated candidates, Amorim from Sporting CP has emerged as a frontrunner.
However, Liverpool fans have voiced their choice for the upcoming 2024-25 season, with Gerrard leading the pack.
In a survey conducted by LiveScore Bet involving 2,036 participants, 41% of fans favored Gerrard to take charge. Xabi Alonso and Zidane followed closely with 18% and 8% of the vote share, respectively.
Other contenders such as Graham Potter, Ange Postecoglou, Roberto De Zerbi, and Julian Nagelsmann received varying levels of support.
Notably, Amorim secured only 4% of the votes, despite being touted as a potential candidate.
While Gerrard's potential as a future Liverpool manager was once highly regarded, his recent coaching stint with Al-Shabab in the Saudi Pro League has seen a decline in reputation.
The team currently sits in ninth place, reflecting a challenging season under his leadership.
